My tip if you started to shoot film

That tipo is a very simple one. At least for me. If you’re just starting out with film photography taking films and hoping that you metered for them correctly can be quite ‘nervewracking’. Developing films at home is a completely different story.

That’s why I recommend to get your first rolls of film developed by a professional lab. This is what I’m doing. Many thanks to Analoguewonderland (they’re not sponsoring me in any way) for developing my films since SilverPanLab had to shot its doors.

There was a time when I wanted to develop the 35mm films myself. But I decided that the equipment needed etc. couldn’t coexist in my day to day life, so I decided to use a lab to develop my 35mm and 120 film rolls.

What I’ll invest in though is a good scanner, such as the Plustek Opticfilm 120. That way I don’t spend that much more on getting my negatives and digital images. But can scan them myself and save a 1/4 kidney each time. And I think you should too.
