If you wonder where you should start shooting lifestyle, landscape etc. you most likely wonder off into far off places such as Thailand, Bali etc. But did you know that you also can shoot at your doorstep and get your cold feet there to start your photography journey?

If you like me live in the UK chances are high that you got either some nice city or woodlands (God bless you if you do) around you, and you can make some really nice pictures there. It for sure will help you getting into the groove and to start something. Starting is the most difficult part and we procrastinate most of the time hiding behind the lack of gear etc. But truth be told the gear isn’t lacking. It’s us having second thoughts and doubting ourselves.

And I had the same issues. Starting this website and my photography business are scary things. But in the end if you don’t try and fail then you won’t improve. So my advice to the question above? Start shooting whereever you want.

If you feel you want to start in Tenerife then go and start in Tenerife and capture everything that you think is beautiful. Shoot for yourself and enjoy what you’re doing. This is the best way and you’ll get better and better.

Shoot whereever you feel most comfortable, but you need to do it.
