Find comfort in a pattern
I’ve learned over the last few weeks that you can find comfort in a pattern. Let me explain as I started quite deep here. I’m always thinking of how I can find an excellent agile ground to stand on. And I found comfort in a pattern.
This doesn’t mean a stable, non-moving platform, but I’m learning to go with the flow and find steady footing on a moving floor, which makes me highly adaptable and also more forward-looking. Imagine that you’re sitting on the roof of a car and you drive a hilly road with elevation and dips. You’ll learn to focus on the horizon and keep your eye on the target. And so this is what I’ve been practising over the last few weeks.
I lock on to a target and try to stay focused on it, disregarding any doubts or nervous thoughts and focusing on where I want to be. This can be helpful for anything in life, and I think it’s a vital skill to have or to learn.
I trained myself not in photography but by analysing financial markets. Over time I could find a correlation between times of the day and news events. And it turned out very well. Apart from feeling more stable it also empowers me to be more confident.
