Galloway Forest Park

Large doesn’t describe it. I can’t actually remember how I got there. But one thing I know, the park was absolutely humongous. It also featured single tracks where I had rough going as there was literally just one track with deep tracks and if another car came you had to try and find out to go over grass or past bushes.

Totally exciting and also plenty of woodlands to explore. You check their website and you get an idea what you can do there. I started off in a nice place with normal roads and had some lovely afternoon tea before heading out into the woods with my trusty D3100 and tripod. I then drove around rather aimlessly and the shots you see are the result of the bliss of not planning everything in detail. I share these photos here with you as all of those photos raise good memories with me and I like them. Not every photo has to be super polished and it’s a bit more of a rebellion to go back to the essentials and to not try too hard.
