The weather can be cruel

Sunday was supposed to be the day when I go out and shoot some lovely films and enjoy the creative process. What I was greeted with however was torrential rainfall and heavy rain for most of the day, with the occasional dry spell. So I ended up not driving anywhere. Which was highly deflating. I checked various locations and found them all to be rainy. So instead of driving for a few hours, I decided to not do it and stay at home. That didn’t mean though that I wouldn't waste any opportunity to go out and shoot locally.

I scouted for some places for the next few weeks and I think I found interesting spots, just need to get the weather right. But hey, hope dies last so not giving up hope. So when the sun came out on Sunday I made my way into the woods and got some lovely shots of the sun kissing the leaves of the trees and some midges flying in the sun. I was very pleased with the result and it goes to show that sometimes it’s good to be patient and to always be ready to shoot anything.

Pleased that at least I could enjoy some of the weather and got some work done. I hope that this is a lesson to me that I need to relearn patience again, it was good to way and then pounce.
